First Tuesday of 2015

 First Tuesday of 2015 & the snacks are out!

Lisa has even put out water this time! 

I am still running my Abzan super quality deck & loving my setup!

Jack is on fire with all Garruk all of the time!

The table looked great with Andrew, Alexander, Derrick,  Matt, Preston, & Jack

And the Holiday decorations are still up!

We played mostly 2 Headed Giant again this morning--rotating the team around so there was no obvious best team.

We had one rules question.

Matt taped three, Voyaging Satyr'd 

to untap one land & cast Siege Rhino

Jack cast Magma Jet 

targeting the Voyaging Satyr BEFORE he untapped a land.

The question is can Jack respond to the Tap of Voyaging Satyr by killing it? 

We ruled that he could.

Additionally, We assumed that the previously tapped mana floated & Matt did not have what it takes to cast Siege Rhino--he still had three floating.

Tuesday Before Winter Break

Another great Tuesday morning of Magic! 

Team Schwarm was exhausted after a long night at Disneyland--but were stoked that Preston, Andrew, Matt, & Derek came to enjoy donuts & sling some spells.

Jack was playing very well--he is started to bore of magic & we may need to hit a tournament some time soon. 

Preston is playing very well--he has a ton of great cards!

My first game was a rematch against Andrew

We went three games & I won at the end.

My next match was a two headed giant match against Derek

And Matt

We started strong with a 12!



But we did not get to finish the match--Noobs [Andrew and I] were down on life, but he was about to start dropping giant green monsters!

Christmas Tuesday

Lisa had the house decorated & lots of treats for when Tuesday rolled in today.

I started off against Liam--good game, but Abzan triumphed 2-0 without much of a challenge.

Jack and Cody were playing a lot--there was chase, Pokemon, and other crazy fun games.

After playing Preston I lost 1-0 to Matt.

We had an interesting exchange...I tapped out to cast Siege Rhino

on his turn, he roped my Rhino with Banishing Light

and on my turn I cast Utter End to remove the Banishing Light.

The question is does the Siege Rhino come back with Summing Sickness or can I attack with him?

We ruled that I could attack, but Jack voted that I still had Summing Sickness.

Magic in the Rain

A rainy day for some Tuesday Magic!

Lisa bought some muffins

And put out a pitcher of water

Jack is in the zone with his deck & has not lost in a while--he also won at FNM this Friday.

A pretty strong crowd showed up for a rainy day session

 I started off playing against Matt

I had one of my greatest plays--I had a Sorin at at two--I -2'd him for a vampire, cast another Sorin, and +1'd--a huge swing:

I do want to trade the Emblem, if anyone is interested.

Two Headed Giant, Part 2

Another great week of Tuesday, playing Magic the Gathering!

Jack was ready and fired up!

The back packs were piled up!

 

The cinnamon rolls were frosted up!

The breakfast pizza was burnt up!

And the boys were fired up!

Evan is playing very well.

Jacks main Standard deck is done & he is looking for some new brews.

Preston is still collecting cards

Liam and I teamed up for some Two Headed Giant

Matt is still playing enlightened & will be hosting a draft on Friday at his house.

Andrew is still having a lot more fun than the rest of us!

I had a good time playing & drinking coffee.



I got to play my Full Art Utter End to great effect!

I also handed out the Numenera Character Sheets which I hope to run over the Thanksgiving weekend!

Cody has built a lot of creatures for our Numenera game!
