Doesn't Golem Mean Clay Golem? Dead in Thay--D&D Encounters S18 S10

Fun night of encounters--we started by picking up Andy who is new to the group....

Brian got his Garruk picture taken

Winning!

Jack attacked me during the shoot & thus came out blurry as I ducked the axe

DM Scott was fired up and ran a great table

I was in video mode for the first shot--this is meme worthy!

Jack had  a good time.

Brian's Druid is still dominating the control game

Nathan joined our table & was fantastic--he has two new babies and it was really fun to get to know him.

Will was also new & a very old school experienced player--made our table a blast.

I had a lot of space on top of the table

and even under the table

We had fantastic skittles

Doc is still ruling

The encounters were fun

and Scott's use of mini's is clever

And some great Iconic map drawing

The Halfling Female Fighter has an extended crit range and snuck on in on the first roll!

I also got a list of metal bands from the kid that works the counter--I am in the process of checking these out

  1. Death-Symbolic

  3. Anciients-Heart of Oak
  4. Heathen-Victims of Deception

Actual Play M15 Prerelease

2014-07-13

M15 Prerelease

Tuesday went to Dice House for M15 Prerelease.

I selected the White box--red was likely most popular, but there were a lot of people taking Black and Green

Tuesday had a great time deck building.

Brian and Scott were fired up.

Evan had his game face.

Michael, playing Commons crushed my White is Right deck very easily.

I never established any board state at all--plus he had full art lands, which I called the judge on, I mean seriously if that is not intimidation, I do not know what is.

Next up I played Daniel's Corruption Deck--I had splashed Green at this point but was still crushed very easily by his B/W deck.

Jack was 2-0 at this point and looking strong.

Next I played Will who had no chance against my UG Deck that was not starting to come together.

After Will, I played Randy to a draw--his All Rare Deck matched up nicely with my White is Right When it Has Black deck.

We actually tied on turns, but I think Randy would have won eventually--he had a really strong late game.

After the match we went to lunch at the Veggie Grill in Irvine.

Me and Jack got our pictures taken with Garruck.

It was a fun Prerelease.

A Caribou is a type of Elk? Dead in Thay--D&D Encounters S18 S9

New sandwhich shop by Comic Quest has very hot sauce.

And free Fire Hats!

I had the greateset parellel parking of my life. Give thanks and praise.

Brain returned this week & was in fine form!

DM Alan was on fire--his trip to the Grand Canyon really seems to have rejuvinated him!

Lisa was at our table--John was not but did enjoy yelling over her at us!

Jack was ready to roll--behind him is Bobby, Ramin, Dude whose name I forgot, maybe Trevor, and Robert--a very solid table!

Nathan is new at our table & may be the greatest roll player of all time--this guy is awesome! He was playing a dwaft paladin with a halbard. Hard Core!

John was still yelling at our table--I think this is on the topic of Halo.

The shop is still somewhat crowded with Magic Players.

DM Scott is also doing a fantastic job running this great Dungeon Crawl

Brian in full effect!

We actually made a lot of exploration progress this week.

Emily joined the table late--and brought a lot of joy to the table.

We were surrounded & I ran. No one followed. Messy.

Here is my portrait of Brian's Gnome Druid.

And a Crit
