Friday Night Magic with a UN SET! What could go wrong...

I won this FNM with a RED DECK WINS build--I did not lose a game, I don't think--I won simply and quickly. I only went red cause no one else was in it and the sprocket mechanic just made red go even faster.

It was not a very fun deck, but it was effective.

We did have a rules Question!

Post Prerelease Planning

Tuesday morning is here again & that means 8th Graders playing Kitchen table Magic. Jack was ready for school.

The boys posted up--Jack is still working to break the meta on the post Dragons of Tarkir world. Andrew has the story down better than anyone else these days.

Derek played a few massive monster games against Andrew that were fun to watch.

 Preston crushed me with his Deck--my Abzan team just could not close.

It was another fun week full of great Magic Fun--we are in the planning stages for Release FNM & a Game Day event at Monsters and Magic.

Tuesday Two Headed Frustration

Jack and the Tuesday Crew had another wonderful morning before heading off to Middle School. Lisa continues to impress with fantastic muffins.

I am still playing this midrange Abzan deck which I do not really love--I want to be playing white & likely need to check out the cards for next release day to see if there is anything there for me.

The boys played two headed giant which can be very frustrated if you have no lands. I mean if NO ONE has any lands!

I always like the pile of back packs--you see this at game stores & conventions as well--it is a part of Magic the Gathering!

Jack & I are currently vegan, which obviously explains our advanced play, but also prevents us from enjoying muffins--so we went Hash Browns!

Andrew is playing giant monsters. Still. But he does have Rush Tickets for July, so he is stoked!

Preston is playing some amazingly complicated deck

Jack is playing red & having fun for the first time in a while--even if he cannot beat me!

Derek's Sultai deck has really come together

We played Two Headed Giant with three players--kind of silly, but more fun then repeating the same matches we played last week--our meta has not changed since pre-release!

I was able to control Andrew's early game, which allowed Derek and Preston to come over the top for the end game & we won easily.

The muffins were destroyed as well!
