So Much Guac! Elemental Evil--D&D Encounters S20 S8

Another great week of D&D Encounters at Comic Quest!

Chase stopped by for some Lemonade to get the night started--we told funny IT stories on the porch on a beautiful day

It started off with Amazon delivering Chinese Feathers--I think my wife may be trying to start the next influenza plague!

There was some talk of a weird steam punk tattoo--I am not sure what is going on here

We had mall sushi which was a blast even thought Jeffery tried to scam the shop with expired coupons!

The shop was packed with players--our table was in a great mood

It was Ben's birthday so we sang happy birthday to him--even though I did not get a picture of him!

Our new players are doing awesome.

Regina brought extra chips and salsa

and the worlds greatest guacamole!

Again this week, I felt like there was plenty of room at the table to spread out:

and my dice were in fine form!

DM Robert had built a fantastic encounter

We had a ton of crits this week--Regina is rolling Sorry style inside the Chessex box:

Ben nailed this birthday Crit!

Brendan scored two crits

and this is actually a crit in a stupid Low Roll Wins Survivor rule we created

My character Pepto Bismo was voted off the island again!

Adventure Time: Elemental Evil

Shelly and the Gang talk to legendary Game Designer Rich Baker about the latest Adventure book--his thoughts on Air Elemental are fantastic-- and then gush over some TV Cartoonist.

Here is the blurb:

We talk with veteran game designer Rich Baker about Princes of the Apocalypse. And then a visit with Adventure Time’s Pendleton Ward!
Called by the Elder Elemental Eye to serve, four corrupt prophets have risen from the depths of anonymity to claim mighty weapons with direct links to the power of the elemental princes. Each of these prophets has assembled a cadre of cultists and creatures to serve them in the construction of four elemental temples of lethal design.
In this episode, we explore the Princes of the Apocalypse with Rich Baker. And then, it’s Adventure Time, with none other than Pendleton Ward!

This is a very light and conversational episode--Rich is fantastic & Chris Perkins contributions are as always amazing--Pendleton comes off kind of disinterested or something & really does not add much, but I assume he is some kind of big deal by the way everyone is acting...Not the best episode, but worth a quick listen.

We Be Goblins Free - Free RPG Day

2015 Free RPG Day includes Pathfinder Module We Be Goblins Free! which I plan to run at Comic Quest.

Here is the blurb:
After losing chieftain after chieftain, the Birdcruncher goblin tribe finally found competent leadership in its four goblin "heroes"—Reta Bigbad the fighter, Chuffy Lickwound the rogue, Poog the cleric of Zarongel, and Mogmurch the alchemist. But it turns out leading a tribe of goblins isn't much fun, and the newest Birdcruncher chieftains are bored. In order to cure their doldrums, the chieftains have issued a new demand—find them some adventure, or else!
Eager to please their great chieftains, the Birdcruncher goblins frantically try to whip up all sorts of amusements, including goblin games, feats of skill, and a grand feast. But trouble arises in the midst of the goblins' feast for their mighty leaders—the goblins who went to harvest truffles for the feast got beat up by some stinky humans!
Now the Birdcruncher chieftains find themselves getting more adventure than they bargained for as they venture to the Bestest Truffle Field to pick up the slack for their bumbling minions. Will the goblin heroes be able to make it to the field, find the treasured fungus, defeat the mean humans, and make it back to the tribe in time to enjoy their well-deserved feast?
We Be Goblins Free! is an adventure for four 4th-level goblin characters, written for the award-winning Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. The adventure takes place near the Devil's Platter in Varisia in the Pathfinder campaign setting, and serves as a sequel to both We Be Goblins! and We Be Goblins Too!, Paizo's popular 2011 and 2013 Free RPG Day adventures!
This one was written by Richard Pett & should be much more Macabre & likely more bloody at Fourth Level.

Really looking foreword to this one!
