Hunting Lodge, Part One

This week we started moving towards the final act of the Hoard of the Dragon Queen

But before we stopped at the mall for some Mall Sushi--there were dinosaurs!

Tuesday showed up in force this week.

I actually had scored the snacks from Trader Joe's for this week--Lisa is way to busy on other things, plus as a vegan now I go to Trader Joes all of the time for Vanilla Vegan Sorbet.

Andrew is still winning with giant monsters.

Alexander does not have a Deck & Preston's deck is way to complicated

I played Derek who is playing Sultai! It was a very tough match, but he did not have a strong enough win condition to defeat my Abzan Houses!

□ Use bolster to put one or more +1/+1 counters on a creature

□ Control eight or more lands

□ Gain 2 or more life in a single turn

Phase 3 Revive Ugin

Ugin is protected by the hedron cocoon. Now comes the final step: heal Ugin’s wounds to ensure his survival and alter the fate of Tarkir!

Constitutional Ammendments

Tuesday morning with Magic starts off with some amazing Cinnamon rolls that Lisa had made!

I had a weird view of the road on my drive to drop Kate off at school--what letters are and are not backward in the rear view mirror did not seem correct.

Backpacks were piled high when I got there. 

And the boys were deep at work spell slinging!

Matt had a massive game against Andrew!

Derek and Jack battled to a stand still 

The cards were awesome on the table 

Liam showed up late but did not have his cards.

The Altoids box as a storage container is classic.

Andrew had an amazing board state, but was unable to come out on top

I was not able to get a game in this morning--I was hoping to play Alexander's control deck, but he did not make it...Dylan did show up late, but was busy watching youtube video's with Jack.

Masala Chai

Another Friday Tea! The porch was ready

Lisa set up an amazing table.

Cody & I started up a game of Hare and Tortoise, likely our favorite family game these days.

We got the racers to the starting gate

But then got confused by the Vegan Lemon Cookies and the rules

So we tried to select a tea. I still have a lot of teas from Friday's Etsy shop--likely three more weeks worth.

We randomly selected Masala Chai

Cody liked it a lot

Even though he thought it looked like pepper

It brewed up beatifully



I may have steeped it too long.

The color was amazing

But the taste was not all that great--likely the least favorite of the teas we have tried so far.
