Pre Pre Release Release

Tuesday Crew was on again today & I was ready!

The back packs piled up

The muffins were out

And Andrew's Cat Soldier Tokens were ready!

The Crew had their games on this morning

Matt continues to play very well

Preston was doing some emergency deck tech after some mana problems

Jack is still not feeling well, but did have a fun match against Dylan

Liam is on fire

Derek was undefeated this morning, I think

Dylan is still playing Slivers which is awesome. He also may be hosting a pre-release event at his house.

Andrew is in for Prerelease

He is also rolling boxcars! which requires some kind of weird time shifting as captured in the above photo

I have a new annoying way to lay out my initial draw based on something I saw on Spell Slingers.

Are Hybrid Spells Cast With Only One Mana Color Still Multicolored?

Derek casts Nightveil Specter using only Blue Mana

Do I still gain the one life?

The Gatherer seems pretty clear on this one:
  • 9/15/2013: Most hybrid spells and permanents, including the ones in the Return to Ravnica block, are multicolored, even if you cast them with one color of mana.

Polis Crushers has Protection from Enchanted Creatures?

Matt attacks with his Hero of Iroas

enchanted with a Mogis's Warhound

which Andrew blocks with his Polis Crusher

Does the Polis Crusher take 4 and die OR does the Polis Crusher have protection from the Enchanted Hercules and take no damage?

This question appears to be answered by the Gatherer:
  • 9/15/2013: “Protection from enchantments” means that Polis Crusher can’t be enchanted, it can’t be targeted by Aura spells or by abilities of enchantments, all damage that would be dealt to it by enchantments is prevented, and it can’t be blocked by enchantment creatures. Notably, it doesn’t have protection from enchanted creatures (unless those creatures are also enchantments).

Hoard of the Dragon Queen--D&D Encounters S19 S4

Another week of exciting D&D Encounters at Comic Quest. But First, we have to put out Grandma's Trash Cans--note the spacing...PERFECTION!

The Street had been repaved & the man hole covers carved out which made for an awesome drive.

We had dinner at Pei Wei--there were some exciting pre-game fortune cookies.

Jack & I are finally dialing in how to order here & the addition of these green beans was solid.

We have a very solid set of players this season & three solid table running at top volume--the Magic kids are still taking up half the shop, but we seem to have reached an easy peace with them.

Plus we got to film Level Two Judge Eric in Action this week

Jack is having a good time playing some wacky Sin Bad Tiefling Fighter

Leo and John are totally into it.

Brian's table is loud & having a blast

DM Nathan had a very interesting table as well

And used some very innovative mini's

I had plenty of room for my DM Stuff

The adventure ran smoothly--the players are very beat up & I was a bit behind the other tables so this week was a bit of  rushed session--but I am setting up for some surprises next session.

I am using the Pathfinder Crit iPhone app which is a ton of phun--we had some great crits & a few epic fumbles--I hope D&D Next comes out with some supplemental critical & fumble tables soon.

I have no idea what the this is supposed to be--a burnt weenie car antenna topper or something?
