M15 Draft Preparation.

So my prep work was horrible for M15 Prerelease--lets see if I can do better for Drafting!
1.  Post request for help on Google+ Magic Community.

2. Tweet at Chapin, LSV, & WotC asking for advice.

3. Read Confessions of a Games Master M15 thoughts

These are all one hour long--I am going to be busy for a long time...

5. While I am watching that, I started reading the LSV reviews--looks like Red is way better on average.

6. Take some notes.

7. Watch Wedge on Best commons & uncommons.

7. Simulate some drafts

Opeth - Cusp Of Eternity (Audio)

Heart of Oak by ANCIIENTS

Doesn't Golem Mean Clay Golem? Dead in Thay--D&D Encounters S18 S10

Fun night of encounters--we started by picking up Andy who is new to the group....

Brian got his Garruk picture taken

Winning!

Jack attacked me during the shoot & thus came out blurry as I ducked the axe

DM Scott was fired up and ran a great table

I was in video mode for the first shot--this is meme worthy!

Jack had  a good time.

Brian's Druid is still dominating the control game

Nathan joined our table & was fantastic--he has two new babies and it was really fun to get to know him.

Will was also new & a very old school experienced player--made our table a blast.

I had a lot of space on top of the table

and even under the table

We had fantastic skittles

Doc is still ruling

The encounters were fun

and Scott's use of mini's is clever

And some great Iconic map drawing

The Halfling Female Fighter has an extended crit range and snuck on in on the first roll!

I also got a list of metal bands from the kid that works the counter--I am in the process of checking these out

The Tome Show--The Sentinel Part 1 (Book Club)

Jeff, Eric, & Tracy talk Sentinel.

One of these days the WotC Novel Club & the Tome Show Book club will read the same book and it will be awesome.

Jeff is in the zone in this episode with his Realm's knowledge.

Tracy seems to struggle a little--when her traditional gender role arguments fall flat she brings up the virgin / harlot archetype for no apparent reason. Classic example of applying theory without understanding. Jeff handles it very well by letting her talk it out & then stating that he has not had that experience. In any event, I am very interested in how she deals with the end of this one.

Eric is basically a Candlekeep research assistant on this one & does not really add all that much.

They are enjoying this book a lot more than I did--I loved Troy's Dark Sun stuff, but this book really fell flat for me. Nevertheless, I am still very glad that they are reading and discussing D&D Novels.
