HASTE! Game Night Noms, Subraces, Dungeon World, and Using 3rd Party Materials

Another fun episode of the HASTE podcast.

The topics were awesome RPG staples, but the hosts seemed a little tired and not really on their A game. A good general episode, but not one of the best.

The food was very simple & not a lot of new thinking--disappointed they could not come up with something better then the guys on Reddit.

Keith Baker on subraces was a good conversation.

The other systems do x better conversation with regards to Dungeon World was not that interesting to me--I believe it is the players that matter--good players make horrible systems awesome.

The Third Party Supplements conversation was strange--the fact that they did not know about the abundance of stuff that is coming out weekly for just about every system--Pathfinder & Numenera stuff is particularly strong leads me to think that perhaps they are not as connected to the hobby as they may have once been--we all move away from our Hobbies from time to time & I fear they may be in one of those slumps.

Also, this episode seemed longer then normal for no real good reason. I think that this was just an off episode for me & that they will return to their past glory in the next episode or two--once they start talking about D&D Next more, probably.

I just learned of this! there is a lot more greatness.

Review--Round table 25 - Living Ruleset, Unboxing, and Organized Items

This is another great episode of what I think is one of the most well rounded D&D review podcasts.

This week Mike Shae joins our host James and show regulars Joe & Topher to discuss the Starter Set, the recent WotC Unboxing Videos, Changes to Organized play, and Magic Item Rarity.

One thing I love about this is that conversational aspect-someone has an opinion, everyone mostly agress in a playful way, and then they move onto the next topic. Another very important part of the show is that the 'experts' are actually doing what they talk about--Mike wrote an adventure for WotC, Topher runs encounters--there is nothing 'theoretical' it is actual practical advice and it is very helpful

Also, the episode starts with a great 'most underrated' monster quiz, which is awesome.
