Curse of Strahd--D&D Encounters S22 S7
Another great week of D&D Encounters!
The table was very crowded this week--largely because of the hippie snacks brought back from Portland, but also because the players are being very consistent and showing up every week.
I lost a white D20 last week--I am sure ransom notes will start popping up again...
The players made amazing dice towers!
The session has a lot of investigation & then a fairly long combat
The players characters are level three but the players have not run many combats at that level, so party synergy was not hight
There were a lot of crits this week, but I did not get that many photos of them--this image is beautiful
I did capture all of the crits & fumbles--which are completely fantastic--this app is no longer on the iTunes app store and it needs to come back asap.

Enter the Battlefield
I watched this on YouTube last night & thought it was totally excellent. The Patrick Chapin stuff was my favorite stuff by a lot--but I also liked the Peach Tree Oath and the Melissa stuff. A really strong documentary with some great family moments & an amazing narration by Wil Wheaton.
Totally worth checking out.
Curse of Stahd Reading
Here is the Tarokka Deck reading from my table of Curse of Strahd at Mercenary Market.
Card One
This card tells of history. Knowledge of the ancient will help you better understand your enemy. What you seek lies in a pile of treasure, beyond a set of amber doors.
Card Two
This card tells of a powerful force for good and protection, a holy symbol of great hope. The thing you seek lies with the dead, under mountains of gold coins.
Card Three
This is the card of power and strength. It tells of a weapon of vengeance: a sword of sunlight. Look for a fortress inside a fortress, in a place hidden behind fire.
Card Four
This card sheds light on one who will help you greatly in the battle against darkness. Look for a dusk elf living among the Vistani. He has suffered a great loss and is haunted by dark dreams. Help him, and he will help you in return.
Card Five
Your enemy is a creature of darkness, whose powers are beyond mortality. This card will lead you to him. He lurks in the depths of darkness, in the one place to which he must return.

CAJ Campaign
Cody & Josh have started playing D&D.
I have not yet come up with a name for this campaign & I am open for suggestions. Currently, they have a lair which was attacked by Wolves, they heard evil laughter, the were approached by a man with a plan for them to join the Lord's Alliance and go see the King for a quest, they were ambushed by Kobolds on their way to see the king.
While waiting in line to meet with the king they started a brawl in the line...
Cody is playing Talon a Gnome Illusionist and Josh is playing Hi a Dragonborn Warrior.
The game is going very well.
Cody got his first Critical Hit!
Magery of Lairt
We started a new campaign! Andrew is running the Magery of Liart from his house--which is basically a lot of long rows of garages
The campaign has a world with a lot of wonderful background--we started the first session as simple guards.
Skittles were in abundance--as was coffee!
The game was super fun.

Curse of Strahd--D&D Encounters S22 S6
Here I am preparing for the session by removing the map from the back of the Curse of Strahd hard cover.
Another fun week of D&D at Kingslayer Comics in Fountain Valley
The quantity and quality of snacks at the table is completely insane at this point.
The players are also starting to figure out their characters so that things move much more quickly at the table.
The cheese wax is used to create fantastic mini's including this amazing Unicorn--not the grape stem horn.
The players had a fairly easy night mostly traveling around Barovia.

Death House 3D Model
This is a completely amazing work in progress
I am still struggling to get on board with all of the digital tools--the most sophisticated mapping tool I have used is the Google architecture tool that everyone was using a few years ago & whatever Paranormal GM is using is way better.
Need to spend more time doing this type of thing. A totally inspiring video.

Goldergs "D&D, Anyone?"
Coming off the top rope!
There is some real gold in this episode!
Point is, if this crazy jacked bro can learn how to play D&D other super shredder bro's can to!

Curse of Strahd--D&D Encounters S22 S5
Another great week of D&D Encounters at Kingslayer Comics
Hit Starbucks on the drive in, which was awesome--the closest one to the shop has a Clover. When we pulled into the lot it was clear that the Magic Kids were at the shop based on this innovative car repair.
DM Kevin has these amazing Moleskine's with his adventure ideas--color coded maps and everything
Melissa brought some Anti Vampire mints for Inspiration which I did not award since this is simply silly
There was that cheese food which comes wrapped in wax at the table, and the players used it to build mini's
which was totally fantastic, as was this amazing wolf mini
There were a lot of crits
some of them very funny
And a player rewarded his die in one of the greatest things I have ever seen!
Fun night--I need to do even more prep for this Wednesday.
