Munchkin with Kate & Jack
Humongous Dread Gazebo!
Out to Lunch!
This was one of those games in which all three of us had 10 levels and the next person who beat a monster would win.
Jack had the early lead, but my female super munchkin was able to pull it out off in the end!
This is Kate's most favorite card--particularly apt on Black Friday.

2014 Table Top Day
This year, things started early with some a very close game of Dixit.
Kate won--this is her game and she usually wins. Lisa and I tied.
Then Cody came downstairs and we started some Pokemon.
It took a while for Cody to straighten out his cards & get all the guys he wanted--but Kate was patient.
We have a surprising number of Pokecards.
Cody was off to a great start
Kate stabilized and started to come back.
But in the end Cody was victorious and received the Wolf Throne Trophy!
Next we headed over to Brookhurst Hobbies
It was super crowded and full of fun--we saw Jace, Mike, Sara, John, Raymond, Henry, and all of the other regulars. It was awesome
We started with some Fluxx--receiving this free promo card:
We brought Alexander who played very well.
And then we headed over to Dice House for some Magic Drafting.
Tuan's shop was packed with players--super high energy and a lot of fun.
I got crushed 1-3 playing mono red--but had some fun games. Me and the Emo King ended Table Top Day on a fairly good note:

Kindergarten Tsuro
Cody is very stoked with Tsuro.
He takes it very seriously & has invented some very sophisticated rules to ensure his survival.
Running two boats is his favorite tactic.
But he also uses a very non approved underwater dragon move as well as a flying boat move that completely rules, even though it is no where in the rules.

King of Tokyo Cup
Cody & I sat down last night for a King of Tokyo at the top of the stairs.
Cody played the King and once again focused on getting the Shrink Ray. I was playing the Kraken and looked to win just by smashing the King in the face.
Cody got off to a great start--doing lots of damage & earning a lot of energy cubes. I was in trouble after round three.
And dead by round six--with the last three rounds only rolling three dice.
And Cody took home the Cup!

King of Tokyo--Kraken vs. Wind Up
Like most American Five Year Old boys, my son Cody is obsessed with Skylanders.
Last night we created a King of Tokyo score card for Wind Up, his current favorite Skylander, so that he could play him in our nightly game.
Cody is still very much about getting cards with energy cubes.
He really got into it last night--the game is designed for older kids, but Cody basically has all the rules memorized and is just working on strategy now.
It was a late night & I looked like your classic crazy dad!
Telepath was the card that cody wanted the most--but he also really liked shrink ray.
